Less than half of Education sector workers have the digital and AI skills they need for work.

These are not advanced tech skills. They are the foundations required for success at work, including using digital tools to collaborate with colleagues, the basics for staying safe online and the safe and responsible adoption of AI tools.

FutureDot Now is working with leaders in the Education sector to close this skills gap.

Digital technology is embedded across education. It informs classroom teaching, administration, safeguarding and learner support. But too many people working in the sector are missing critical digital skills.

Not only does this impact productivity, adaptability and cyber security. It also means too many of our educators are not able to share the digital skills our young people need for the world of work.

That’s why we’re working with a team of sector leaders to mobilise action to supercharge essential digital skills across the UK education sector workforce.
