Place-based workstreams are raising the regional profile of workforce digital skills.

By working with stakeholders such metropolitan mayors, local authorities and chambers of commerce, these teams are driving local awareness, engagement and collaboration.

Leadership in the South West

The first of the place-based workstreams to mobilise is in South West England, led by Julie Hawker MBE, Chief Executive of Devon-based social enterprise Cosmic.

Working with representatives from councils in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset, this workstream has been raising awareness of the workforce digital skill gap across the region. This includes a range of events and engagement with the South-West Business Council and Digital Skills Partnerships.
